Christopher B. Matheny


An accomplished attorney with over twelve years of legal experience, Chris Matheny joined Fetherston Edmonds in 2012 and is a partner in the firm.

Chris’ practice focuses on real estate law transactions and business law. He represents clients throughout the states of Oregon and Washington, assisting individuals, small companies and large multi-state businesses in all matters relating to their operations. This includes assisting in the buying and selling of real estate, drafting leases and rental agreements, foreclosing on properties and representing landlords in tenancy disputes. He also specializes in commercial property issues, representing commercial property management companies throughout the Willamette Valley.

Chris also assists clients in various disputes and has handled cases at all stages of litigation.

A graduate of Willamette University College of Law, Chris participates in the University’s Attorney-Mentor program where he works with first year law students, exposing them to the practice of law. In January of 2003, Chris was recognized as the Pro Bono New Young Attorney of the Year by the Marion County Bar Association.

Chris is an active member of his local church and community, and one of the founding board members of the nonprofit Wide Awake International, which works to find suitable homes for disabled and orphaned children around the world. Chris and his wife, Sarah, have three daughters.
